Case status updates on WhatsApp for law firms
Clients of litigation practices ask the same question again and again: what happened at the last hearing, and when is the next date? Answering means an associate checking the court website, finding the matter file and writing back. Finaley AI Studio tracks case status for your matters and sends clients clear, reviewed updates on WhatsApp, so they stay informed without your team answering the same question every week.
Why status calls eat a litigator's day
A busy practice may have hundreds of matters across several courts and tribunals, each with its own listing pattern. Clients call or message for updates at all hours, juniors spend time looking up cause lists and case status pages, and the answer is often a simple next date. Updates that are forgotten damage the client relationship, while updates sent hastily can be inaccurate. Neither is good for a firm's reputation.
How the automation runs
- 1
Track your matters
AI agentThe agent checks the case status and cause lists for each of your matters on eCourts and the relevant court websites, on the schedule you set.
- 2
Detect changes
AI agentIt notices new orders, next hearing dates, listings and adjournments, and links each change to the right matter and client.
- 3
Draft the client update
AI agentIt writes a short, plain-language update in the client's preferred language, explaining what happened and what comes next.
- 4
Advocate review
Professional checkAn advocate from your firm reviews and edits each update, especially anything involving an order or a deadline, before it is sent.
- 5
AI agentApproved updates go to the client on your firm's WhatsApp Business number, and the message is saved to the matter record.
- 6
Answer simple follow-ups
AI agentClients who reply asking for the next date or the last order get an answer from the reviewed record, and anything else goes to their advocate.
Your WhatsApp number, your matter records
Updates are sent from your firm's WhatsApp Business number through the official WhatsApp Business Platform, so clients hear from a number they recognise. Matter details can come from your practice management system, a Google Sheet or the case list your team maintains. Copies of every update are kept with the matter for your records.
No update without an advocate
Court orders and next steps can carry legal consequences, so every substantive update is approved by an advocate before a client sees it. The automation never gives legal advice or interprets an order on its own, and any client question that needs judgement is passed straight to the responsible advocate.
What you get
- Clients informed after every hearing
- Fewer status calls to associates
- Every update reviewed by an advocate
- A record of all client communication on each matter
Questions
Which courts can it track?
It tracks matters listed on eCourts services and on the websites of High Courts and tribunals your practice appears before. We confirm coverage for your specific courts during setup and test with your current matters.
Will clients get updates without our approval?
No. Every substantive update is approved by an advocate first. Some firms allow purely administrative messages, such as a reminder of an already confirmed date, to go automatically, but that is your choice.
Can updates be sent in regional languages?
Yes. Updates can be written in English, Hindi and other major Indian languages, based on what each client prefers. The advocate reviews the update in the language it will be sent in.
Is client information kept confidential?
Matter and client details are stored securely, used only to prepare and send updates, and visible only to your firm. Messages go only to the numbers recorded for each client on the matter.
How do we start?
Share a list of active matters with case numbers and courts, and the client contact details you use today. We test tracking on those matters and agree the update format with your advocates before anything is sent.
